Sycamore Academy fosters a culture of learning that encourages students to persevere, inspires academic and personal excellence, and offers committed support to their families. Sycamore Academy’s experienced and qualified teaching professionals light the way for students to transition through each grade level and on to college. Video teaching is a great resource, but our students have found that having a “live” teacher enables them to ask real questions and receive instantaneous help that isn’t available by video.

Elementary Classes Grades 3-8 We offer Online Live Classes for grades 3 -8. Subjects available are Art, Bible, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. We also offer Independent Study Classes such as Middle School 2D Studio Art, Middle School Career Exploration, Middle School Career Exploration II, Middle School Digital Art and Design, Middle School Exploring Music, and Middle School Journalism: Tell Your Story.
High School Classes Grades 8-12 We offer live online classes for grades 8-12. Subjects available are Math, English, Science, and History. We also offer extra classes like Art History, Bible, Digital Photography, Health, Spanish I, Spanish II, and Speech.

Accreditation

AdvancED Sycamore Academy is accredited by AdvancED. As an accredited school, Sycamore Academy is constantly seeking to improve. We find your input, ideas, and suggestions invaluable to helping us grow and succeed. We are committed to our families and students and to being the best we can be.

Specialities

The Comprehensive Test of Basic Skills is provided to all students enrolled in our program. It will be evaluated by a professional scoring service. Performance results are mailed to parents and a copy will become part of your child’s permanent record.

Upon completion of the high school program and demonstrated performance on proficiency tests, the student receives a diploma, printed in gold. Students with the Sycamore Academy diploma have attended many colleges, universities, and entered the armed forces. All high school classes must be documented, either by us or by the previous school.
