South Carolina Connections Academy (SCCA) is a tuition-free, K–12 online public school that students attend from home. South Carolina Connections Academy is more than a fully accredited online school. It’s a tight-knit school community offering all the services and resources needed to create a well-rounded student experience.

Online Elementary School Curriculum The elementary curriculum at South Carolina Connections Academy focuses on the fundamentals, so online students concentrate on core subjects such as writing, reading, math, science, and social studies. The majority of our online elementary school curriculum content is actually in print and then supplemented with online content.
Online Middle School Curriculum In grades 6–8, students sharpen their language arts, math, and critical thinking skills through a blend of online and offline work. They also deepen their understanding of history and science. Through exciting electives, students learn new skills, find art in everyday life, and explore new technologies. They can also join clubs that enrich them in new ways, like learning about robotics or writing for the school newspaper.

Accreditation

SACS CASI- AdvancED South Carolina Connections Academy is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), an accrediting division of AdvancED.

Specialities

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses offered by Connections Academy schools allow students to combine both college preparation and real-world workforce skills development into one customized education program. CTE courses encourage students to explore and prepare for careers in finance, marketing, psychology, criminal justice, and more.
