The North Dakota Center for Distance Education (NDCDE) is an accredited, non-profit, distance education school that has been providing educational opportunities to students around the world since 1935. NDCDE’s courses are available to any students in grades 6-12. NDCDE is familiar and works well with a variety of educational arrangements including public, private, home, and charter schools. NDCDE provides instructional support for all its courses.

High School Courses Requirements for High School courses vary from state to state. The courses offered are designed to meet the requirements for students in grades nine through twelve. There will be instances, however, when these courses can apply to students in other grade levels and situations. Course subjects available are Aerospace, Agriculture, Agriculture FFA and SAE, Art, Business Education, Computer Education, English, Family and Consumer Science, General Education, Health Careers, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education and Health, Science, Social Studies, Technical Education, and World Languages.
Middle School Courses Requirements for Middle School courses vary from state to state. The courses offered are designed to meet the requirements for students in the sixth, seventh and eigth grades. There will be instances, however, when these courses can apply to students in other grade levels and situations. Course subjects available are Agriculture, Agriculture FFA and SAE, Art, Business Education, Computer Education, English, Family and Consumer Science, General Education, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education and Health, Science, and Social Studies.

Accreditation

AdvancED North Dakota Center for Distance Education is accredited by AdvancED.

Specialities

Credit recovery courses are intended for students who have taken the course once already and have failed the course. Administrative approval from both the local school and ND CDE is required to enroll in these courses. If you have questions, feel free to contact NDCDE's Academic Advisor.

If your school offers AP courses, contact your AP Coordinator to register for the exams. He or she will order the necessary materials, collect fees, and let you know when and where to appear for the exams. If you are a homeschooled student or attend a school that does not offer AP courses, you can still take the exams by arranging to test at a participating school.
