Recognized as the first public virtual school in the state of Tennessee, MNPS Virtual School launched in August of 2011. MNPS Virtual School combines a rigorous academic program with extensive learning support to create an extraordinary online experience. Our regarded faculty of virtual teacher-scholars are highly qualified and thoroughly educated in their respective fields. Further, MNPS Virtual School offers low student-to-teacher ratios reinforcing a culture of achievement and support.

High School Courses MNPS Virtual School offers all core courses required to graduate high school consistent with Tennessee’s Diploma Project. School year 2018-2019 course offerings in Mathematics, English Language Arts, Social Studies, Sciences, Foreign Languages, Lifetime Wellness and Physical Education, as well as Fine Arts are described in detail herewith and for reference purposes. Some courses also have an honors option for students wanting to increase the rigor of the learning experience.
Middle School Courses Under the instruction of a high-ly-qualified MNPS v-teacher-scholar, eligible sixth (6th), seventh (7th), and eighth (8th) graders enroll in v-English Language Arts, v-Mathematics, v-Social Studies, and v-Comprehensive Science. Additionally, v-students enroll in middle school related art options. Our middle school option provides a seamless pathway to high school enrollment and graduation from MNPS Virtual School.

Specialities

The Summer Success Program is a great way for students to catch up or get ahead in their high school careers. Enrollment in our Summer Success Program allows learners the opportunity to continue to complete courses needed to earn a high school diploma during the Summer break.
