The Utah Virtual Academy (UTVA) is a rapidly-growing organization that offers our teachers and staff members the excitement of exploring an emerging concept in education. Utah Virtual Academy students will attain superior academic achievement through parent involvement, innovative teaching and school accountability within a virtual environment that embraces individual learning styles.

K-8 Curriculum The curriculum was created by a team of experts at K12, using tried-and-true educational approaches for instruction. Our six core courses - Language Arts/English, Math, Science, History, Art, and Music - and Physical Education can be taken separately for supplemental learning or enrichment, or combined into a full-time schooling option.
High School Curriculum The K12 High School Course Catalog is robust, offering more than 90 core, elective, and Advanced Placement ® (AP ®) courses. K12 Math, Language Arts, Science, and History courses are offered in multiple versions to meet the needs of diverse learners with diverse goals. Up to four levels of World Languages are offered as well. Students can chart their own course, choosing from among the four levels of courses to match their aptitude and goals.

AdvancED Utah Virtual Academy is proud to be accredited by AdvancED.

Specialities

Destinations gives students exposure to relevant technical and specialty trade skills from career technical education (CTE) courses built around two career fields, allowing them to explore occupations of interest. These engaging, content-rich courses expand the traditional education experience and maximize a student’s ability to succeed in the community and workforce.
