Oklahoma Connections Academy (OKCA) is a free online public school serving students throughout Oklahoma in grades K–12. Oklahoma Connections Academy is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), an accrediting division of AdvancED. OKCA gives students the flexibility to learn at home with a curriculum that meets rigorous state education standards.

Elementary School Curriculum In grades K–5, Connections Academy helps young students learn the basics, acquire study skills, and develop a love of learning that will last a lifetime. Elementary students are introduced to the building blocks for success in school—reading, writing, and mathematics. Teachers weave in science, social studies, technology, art, and physical fitness to provide a well-rounded core curriculum.
Middle School Curriculum In grades 6–8, students sharpen their language arts, math, and critical thinking skills through a blend of online and offline work. They also deepen their understanding of history and science. Through exciting electives, students learn new skills, find art in everyday life, and explore new technologies. They can also join clubs that enrich them in new ways, like learning about robotics or writing for the school newspaper. Gifted students can even start earning high school credits early.*
High School Curriculum The 9–12 education features a core high school curriculum including math, science, English, and social studies. Electives in varied topics such as digital photography, marine science, game design, and world languages encourage students to explore and grow to become well-rounded individuals. Honors and Advanced Placement®* courses provide online high school students the challenge needed for college preparation.

NCA CASI Oklahoma Connections Academy is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), an accrediting division of AdvancED.

Specialities

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses offered by Connections Academy schools allow students to combine both college preparation and real-world workforce skills development into one customized education program. CTE courses encourage students to explore and prepare for careers in finance, marketing, psychology, criminal justice, and more.
